The Best Archie Costume Ideas

Debuting in the 1940s, the “Archie” comic strip featured the fictional teenage gang of Archie Andrews, Betty Cooper, Veronica Lodge, Reggie Mantle and Forsythe “Jughead” Jones. Set in the made-up location of Riverdale, the teenage friends are up to the usual high school hi-jinx as well as hanging out at Pops. Josey and the Pussycats and Sabrina, the Teenage Witch are popular Archie Comics spin-offs that came later.

Dress up as the red-headed Archie or as other popular characters from the comic strip including a Jughead Archie costume that features a red pull-over shirt with the mystery “S” on the front, cuffed denim pants and his signature hat. The Jughead costume hat is a beanie with a crown-shaped styling that was popular among boys in the 1930s and 1940s.  The fickle, rich-girl Veronica has an Archie costume that is “all that” with a dark pencil-style skirt and a cropped red sweater.  If going out as a group, have friends dress as characters such as Betty or Reggie.
